These are just kinda "meh" names I came up with, but you could also check the Human and Elf sections of the player's handbook to find something from there. Halford Ramsey - Half-elf druid, Human parent either died or went missing before he was born, mother decided to give him a human name as a way of honoring him. Varis Nailo - Half-elf ranger, Elvish name as a result of being raised in a nomadic tribe populated mostly by Elves. Parents weren't worried about their son's heritage, and decided to embrace both aspects. Leocan Alexander - Half-elf pirate, Elvish first name, common Last name. As for example names, I've only had a few, but I like them enough. Since Elvish last names appear to be Elvish words put together (much like the names Lionheart or Ironfist in common), you could try that. I don't know about any name generators being more popular, if you're interested, there's a glossary/dictionary of elvish words and their common translations.

Follow-up question: He's a multiclass falconer. I've come up with Taurem Raama as a name for my first character.
DND NAME GENERATOR HALF ELFE FULL
*Looking through the sidebar resources, I'm not interested in a full character generator, just wanting to know a list of popular or historic Half-elven/Sylvan Elf names. I don't really know the nomenclature or phonics of the Sylvan Elf community he'll have grown up in, so coming up with an accurate name is tough. Due to some inciting incident involving his parents or his sacred forest, he strikes out into the world as a young wandering mystic.Īny ideas or resources for naming conventions for such a character? Initially I was going with a name I borrowed from an unrelated fanfic I'm active in, but as the character takes on his own shape I'm wanting to go with something original. He'll start out in a small settlement near Elventree in the Faerun map, the son of an unknown human male and elven mother who died in childbirth (tentative). My character is a Sylvan Half-elf male, Ranger/Druid multiclass (probably a Falconer or Beastfriend).
